Discover Leuven and its culinary highlights along a delicious gastronomic route in the heart of the city. There is no shortage of suds either at the annual beer market on the Oude Markt.

Gastronomic trail
Grote Markt, Muntstraat, Hogeschoolplein and Tiensestraat
From burger to sushi, and champagne cocktail to fruit punch, the offer totals almost 300 tasters - costing between 3 and 8 euros. Enjoy!
Practical
- One-way traffic
Applies along part of the route- You cannot enter Muntstraat if you come from Tiensestraat.
- You cannot enter Tiensestraat from De Somerplein.
- Dogs and prams
- You are not allowed to enter Muntstraat with a dog or pram. There is guarded pushchair parking at the entrance to Muntstraat (on Zeelstraat).
Oude Markt
Beer market
At our beer market, you can enjoy beer responsibly while also gaining knowledge. With a tasting glass in your hand (deposit: 5 euros) you can taste the best special beers. The numerous cafés of the Oude Markt serve them expertly.
Bartender race
15:00
In the afternoon, you can come and cheer at the traditional bartenders’ race. Leuven’s bartenders will run like mad in their efforts to claim the title.
Belle Perez
There will also be music during Hapje-Tapje. None other than Belle Perez will be stopping by. With her mix of pop and sultry Latin vibes, she has managed to set every square ablaze for more than 20 years. An ideal dessert after a day of tasting.
